Traditional dances of Zimbabwe

Summary:
Dance occupies a crucial place in Zimbabwean culture. There are about 12 prominent traditional dances in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean dances are largely performed in the rural areas, where about 75% of Zimbabwe’s population lives. Although the traditional purposes of the dances tend to change over time, their meaning and significance is often preserved. Zimbabwean dances are performed for three main purposes; religious, social and ceremonial.

I love to dance and I also love to listen to music so in my opinion dancing is an amazing ability. These dances that are performed show emotions in a visual way that is beautiful. It shows when people are happy, sad, or angry. These traditional dances are somthing that should not be taken away and should pe preserved for all to see.

Dancing ties in with culture, and in my opinion it is one of the most important parts. Dancing can be in many things like traditions, celebrations, and rituals. Especially in religion. Without dancing celecrations and many other traditions would not be the same without dancing, and by reading this article we can tell the Zimbabweans already understand that.
